In a touching family moment, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan shared his emotional response to watching his grandson Agastya Nanda portray war hero Arun Khetarpal in the trailer for Ikkis.

The 82-year-old screen icon revealed he became tearful seeing his grandson transform into India's youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, recalling how he first held Agatsya as a newborn. "Your soft fingers played with my beard then," Bachchan wrote, addressing his grandson directly on social media. "Today those hands hold the mantle of a national hero."

Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan and the late Jaya Bachchan, makes his dramatic debut with the biographical film depicting Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal's heroic actions during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The young actor reportedly underwent six months of military training to prepare for his role as the 21-year-old war hero.

Industry analysts note the personal significance of the project, coming decades after Bachchan himself played young military recruits early in his career. The theatrical trailer has garnered nearly 10 million views since its release Tuesday morning.

Ikkis releases worldwide December 16, timed for Armed Forces Flag Day observances. The film joins several recent productions highlighting India's military history, though few have featured such personal generational connections.
